  1. "On average, Americans have about 12.5 years of education. However, people read several grades lower than their highest educational achievement, so the average reading level for adult Americans is actually somewhere around eighth or ninth grade."

Oh, great. Yes. Let's have every citizen quit their jobs and start voting on every legislative change, even when they can't understand the first three sentences of proposed amendments and laws. Let's also ignore the fact that the political knowledge of the average citizen would render them incapable of making informed decisions about anything on a legislative level. This man obviously has no idea what the founding fathers were going for when they created this democratic REPUBLIC. This ain't ancient Greece where we can all sit around debating political theory and drinking wine. The sheer size of this country and the varied interests immediately rule out any merit in letting the entire population vote on such sensitive material.

*sigh* These are just the most generic arguments against this man's nonsense. The worst part is realizing that most people in the comments section think this is a GREAT idea. I guess watching CNN/Fox/MSNBC for half an hour at dinner time each night qualifies anyone to be a political/legislative expert.
